Miss Valle won the title of Miss Universe Colombia 2024
The beautiful Daniela Coloza has just been crowned Miss Universe Colombia 2024. Although many "didn't see it coming" and consider her a Black Horse. Daniela was among the top 5 predictions of the critics, including me.
Colombia did not choose any of the two favorites and stand-outs of the audience and critics: Miss Barranquilla and Miss Huila; who had already participated in previous editions of another important colombian contest.
But no one can deny that Daniela has an impressive bearing and a beauty that captivates. In addition, she gave one of the best answers among the TOP 4 finalists and won two special awards: Best Silhouette and Best Face.
Who is Miss Universe Colombia 2024?
Daniela is a professional woman, fashion designer and public relations specialist. She is 30 years old and as a social project she has highlighted the fight against childhood obesity, since she gained weight after the death of her father, when she was a child.
The newly crowned queen is originally from city of El Valle, and although she has a lot of potential, she also has a lot to improve before going to Miss Universe competition, in Mexico. Daniela must improve her catwalk, her stage projection and enhance her facial angles.
What do you think of Daniela? Was she your favorite contestant for the winning? Leave your comment! You know I read all the comments in my blog.
Mother of 11-year-old girl wins the Miss Universe Venezuela 2023 pageant
Motherhood is in fashion on the Miss Universe stage, Ileana Márquez became Miss Universe Venezuela 2023 last night and with the crown comes the right and responsibility to represent her country at Miss Universe 2024 to be held in Mexico. The Venezuelan is the third mother to be chosen as queen in a national pageant towards Miss Universe. The first was Miss Universe Guatemala 2023, Michelle Cohn and the second was Miss Universe Colombia 2023, Camila Avella.
It is remarkable that Latin America is, so far, the only region that is taking advantage of this new pageant regulation, which since this year allows married women or women with children to participate in the most important and most followed beauty pageant in the world. While European countries have taken advantage of the right to inclusion of transgender women, a right also granted in the new regulation. Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands have taken the initiative and already achieved their first top, since just 15 days ago, the Netherlands managed to be part of the top 20 of Miss Universe 2023, held in El Salvador.
Who is Iliana Márquez?
Ileana is a beautiful 27-year-old Venezuelan who loves singing, dancing and acting; She is a teacher in Early Childhood Education and considers herself an authentic woman because she is attached to her values and ideals.
For Ileana, motherhood has not been easy at all. The young woman gave birth to her daughter, her 11-year-old daughter named Guadalupe, at just 16 years old. "Being a mother in my youth changed me as a person by having to face a society in which I did not fit into its standards; however, positively I matured, studied, worked and moved forward" quotes the young woman, on the page official of Miss Venezuela.
Favorite from the beginning
Ileana's beauty, poise, charisma, stage projection and her incredible silhouette made her from the beginning of the competition one of the great favorites to win, and there was competition this year in "the most beautiful night" of Venezuela, but I will tell you more about that another time, because there is a lot to say about the candidates, the top 10 and the production of the contest.
Meanwhile, I want to congratulate Miss Universe Venezuela 2023, a woman
who did a beautiful job during the preliminary and final night of the pageant.
I have no doubt that she will continue to conquer more followers and more
successes will come to her life. Congratulations Ileana!
Miss Universe Peru 2023 is Camila Scribens. The Worst and the Best of the Night
The bad
I was very impressed to see that Miss Peru doesn't have its own space on Peruvian TV. Jessica Newton has been at the head of the organization for eight years and I don't understand why she has to use the space that belongs to another TV program (This is a War TV show) after so many years when it is assumed that she has already consolidated a brand. Perhaps being encouraged to transmit it on the pageant's social networks would give the contest more and better prestige.
I was not only surprised by the fact that Miss Peru doesn't have its own space on TV, but also by the fact that the whole show took just 45 minutes. I thought that it had been a 2-hour event and when it was edited, it was only 45 minutes long, but unfortunately, it was not the case. The event went pretty fast and there's nothing wrong with that unless it steals the candidates' time after trying so hard to look beautiful and do their best for the show.
The rush did not favor any of the contestants because none had enough time to shine on stage. They paraded two by two during the evening gown and the swimming competition. It seemed to me a real lack of respect and professionalism on the part of the organization. Being a beauty queen is a huge investment (of time, commitment, and money), the least the organization can do is let the contestants enjoy their 5 minutes of fame.
The opening song by Alessia Robegno and her sister didn't fit with the contest. I love that Alessia goes ahead with her plans to be a recognized and famous singer beyond the Peruvian borders, but I cannot hide that this tropical song did not fit in with the beauty pageant.
The Good
Hairstylists and makeup artists scored 100 for demonstrating professionalism and objectivity. My congratulations to them! The stage was great, you couldn't tell it was in a game show TV studio. I loved the lighting, the stage design, and the space in general. The production scored 100 too. Congratulations!
The Best
The questions that they asked the candidates who made up the top 5 were appropriate and necessary to assess growth and the ability to learn from what they experienced in their pasts. Each of the young women was asked something personal and very focused on her life experiences.
The Finalists
The top 3 went just as I predicted on my Facebook: Camila Scribens, Suheyn Cipriani, and Gianella Razuri. Another success from this humble servant. At the moment of answering, Gianella and Suheyn take advantage of Camila, as it was known that it would happen because Camila doesn't speak Spanish very well (Read my analysis of the oratory of the Miss Peru candidates Here: Analyzing all contestants' Oratories Of Miss Universe Peru 2023

The undisputed winner of the entire evening was the beautiful Suheyn and yes, I also said it on my Facebook profile (So see my profile because I post a lot of interesting things at La Dina Miss ); she had been sweeping every area in which a miss should stand out, and it was nothing new to see her shining on the final night. The crown of the night was to Camila Scribens, who, without detracting from her merits, also did a good job, although at all times, behind Cipriani.
From my blog I congratulate Camila and I hope she knows how to take advantage of this great opportunity. Many of us, to this day, are very aware of the foolish way she behaved a couple of years ago in her desire to be Miss Peru. I hope and want her to achieve an outstanding position for her country in the next edition of the highest beauty pageant.

Top 10 Best Oratory in Miss Universe Peru 2023
Yesterday I told you that today I would deliver my top 10 contestants with the best oratory in Miss Peru 2023 competition, and here I am! I am not going to detail why I consider my selections to be the best of the competition; Yesterday I finished the analysis of the 24 contestants, and you can read it in full by following this link Let's take a look at the Oratory of Miss Universe Peru Contestants - South America - La Dina Miss (mozellosite.com) , but I would like to remind you that I took into account the ability to interact with the jury and the audience, the ability to deliver an idea or message clearly and concisely, the confidence with which it is expressed, vocal projection, body management, mastery of the nerves and finally, the ability to transmit emotions or positive sensations when communicating.
Proficiency in English seems important to me, but it does not define a queen. The contestant must express herself comfortably and confidently whatever the language, so English was not the only parameter to consider. Let's see my top 10:
10. Maria Fernanda Malca
09. Larissa Farfán, representante de Piura
08. Luana Silva, representante de Cajamarca
07. Allison Quiroz, representa a Arequipa
06. Camila Escribens, es retadora
05. Gianella Rázuri, es retadora
04. Lili Armestar- es retadora
03. Nati Quijano - es retadora
02. Clarisse Uribe, es retadora
01. Suheyn Cipriani - Retadora
¿Estás de acuerdo con mi top 10? A quien quitarías o a quien agregarías a esta lista?
Let's take a look at the Oratory of Miss Universe Peru Contestants
The jury conducted a brief interview with each of the young women competing to be Rovegno's successor. Their questions were related to their social, personal, and professional life. Some questions were very trivial, but in the end, they tried to find out how easy each contestant was to face a situation of public exposure and share a personal opinion without letting their nerves get the best of them. Some candidates emerged successful from this challenge, but others were simply broke under the pressure.
I want to share my opinion of all contestants who met with the qualifying jury on this occasion. I will also be talking about the outfits they used for the interview. Furthermore, I will comment on contestants as the videos are published by the organization of the event. To date, they have posted two videos, so come to take a look at my blog in the next few days for an update.
Ladies, Gentlemen! There is a lot to talk about in these interviews. Before giving my opinion, it is important to share a very particular fact about these interviews: The Miss Universe Peru Organization, under the responsibility of the former beauty queen Jessica Newton, decided to do a part of these interviews in English, a couple of years ago. Contestants must be able to speak this language to be considered one of the best and most prepared to go to the Miss Universe Competition.
It is a working system that I support. English has become an excellent tool for work, public relations, marketing and sales. Even though this is nothing new in pageants' business role models, it has gained more strength in recent years, and the organizers of beauty pageants want to cover a larger and more varied audience.
1. Nathaly Teresa Terrones, representative of Lima East City: dressed in an electric blue formal suit, a color that greatly highlighted her skin tone. She lacked a little strength and poise in her voice. Her English is not fluent, she does not articulate her ideas, and she hesitates a lot when responding, possibly because she is looking for words in her mind that are suitable for what she wants to say, but she demonstrated she is not afraid to talk in this foreign language.
2. Viviana Díaz, representative from Loreto City: I loved her red, off-the-shoulder dress and that bolero around her shoulders. She made a very good choice because she looked fresh and youthful. In Spanish, she does not project confidence or catch the public with her voice, she is very simple in terms of expression and words. She did not speak English.
3. Krystal Celi, representative of Lima Centro City: she has one of the most beautiful faces, but I didn't like her speech at all, it was too flat, without focus. Her outfit was formal, a long-sleeved white suit with a lace blouse as the center. In English, she seemed a bit lost, and she didn't connect either due to the shyness and fear she projects.
4. Larissa Farfán, representative of Piura City: She was encouraged to show a sexier design with a touch of modernity; she wore a hot pink corset with lace sleeves that started at her forearm or just above her elbow. The sleeves were white and matched the formal pants she wore, also white. I liked her oratory, she is forceful, she projects naturalness and self-confidence, and she is also very fluid and coherent. In English, she did not understand the question and asked the jury to talk to her in Spanish.
5. Luana Silva, representative of Cajamarca City: The "but" that I saw in her was her outfit; She arrived in white jeans and a short white blouse, I didn't see a miss in her because of the way she dressed. She did not understand the question in English, that was evident, although she knew how to hide it by saying that she is perfecting it. In Spanish, I loved her oratory, she is fluent, personable, and projects a lot of honesty and confidence.
6. Stephany Carhuas, representative of El Callao City: I liked her oratory, she manages to connect with the audience, she is empathetic, and knows very well how to sell her ideas. In English, the story was different. Although she tried to answer the question, she couldn't, her nerves got to her, and she asked to be spoken to in Spanish. As for her image, I liked the color of the dress that she chose, it was a very pretty deep red, but her design seemed very old-fashioned to me, she did not project her inner miss.
7. Nati Quijano - is a challenger: I loved her outfit! She arrived dressed in a white tailored suit, with long sleeves and a black lapel. A black necklace adorned her neck and enhanced her poise and elegance. I liked her makeup, although at times I felt that she was wearing too much. I loved her oratory. She speaks fluently, entertainingly, confidently, and with dynamism; she is definitely one of the best. She was relaxed and interacted (without trying) with the jury, but how did she do it in English? She did just as excellently; she spoke slowly, but she didn't stop looking confident. She flowed and charmed!
8. María Fernanda Malca, representative of La Libertad City: She wore a beautiful green dress with straps, with a lace bolero that covered one of her shoulders until it reached her elbow. I did not understand why the jury started the interview in English; it gave me the impression that they wanted to catch her off guard. She does not speak the language, and although she understood the question and was encouraged to answer it, it was noticeable that her level of conversation is still very low. In Spanish, she is very confident and looks comfortable. I loved her tone of voice because it reflects a lot of strength and harmony at the same time.
9. Lili Armestar-
is a challenger: She was dressed in a light blue formal blazer with long sleeves. In Spanish, her oratory is good. She gave the impression to be listening to a businesswoman giving a seminar and not a beauty queen. She is as fluent in English as in Spanish; sometimes, and like the vast majority, she was looking for the words and couldn't find them, but it seems to me that she has a good level of conversation.
10. Ángela Romero, represents Puno City: I didn't like her dress. She gave me the impression that she went to the supermarket first, and then she remembered that she had an interview with the jury, sorry! She opted for a dress that was too simple, lacking in grace and style. She has such a beautiful voice, so sweet that it allows her to attract attention, she does not have a strong or forceful oratory, she gets lost in her ideas and makes us lose interest. She does not speak English and asked that the questions be asked in Spanish.
11. Winny Zapata, represents Jaen City: I liked her outfit; She opted for a lemon yellow long-sleeved tailored suit, she wore a short top with a deep V neckline in the same tone as the suit. She did very well in Spanish, but honestly, she is very flat when speaking, she does not transmit emotions, and she does not manage to capture the interest of those who listen to her. She does not speak English.
12. Alexandra Balarezo - is a Challenger: I loved her smile, it invited me to chat. She wore an outfit of intense blue color, pants that showed a bit of a navel, and a short, loose long-sleeved blouse. I liked her speech in Spanish, she was serene, relaxed, and focused, although I didn't like the content very much; I got the impression that she learned a speech, and I didn't see her as very honest. She did not answer the questions of the jury directly, she rambled and went the other way. At times, she gave me the impression that she did not understand what they were asking, but then I understood that is her way of expressing herself, she goes around a lot. The jury did not ask her any questions in English, I did not understand why they made an exception.
13. Suheyn Cipriani - is a Challenger: It is her second attempt to become Miss Peru; is already a mother and represented Peru in an international beauty contest. In Spanish, she expresses herself very well, she is direct and transmits honesty and empathy. She arrived dressed in a green blazer, but full of shine, a classic for a beauty queen. In English, I think she's the one that flows the best so far, even though she "always looks up" for words or inspiration.
15. Lisseth García, representative of Ayacucho City: she wore a white strapless dress that accentuated her silhouette. Words don't flow as naturally in her native language or she may have been nervous. She gets a little lost when answering a direct question, although, to her credit, I must say that she is confident and always tries to keep calm. No questions in English were made to her.
17. Nathaly López - is a Challenger: She looked very pretty in a red dress; is the mother of two children and is happily married. Her oratory in Spanish is very simple, she doesn't convey anything, she redounds a lot in her ideas, and runs out of air when she talks. She did not know how to express herself in English. She sold us her motherhood a thousand times over, but she didn't let us see her beauty queen side, her social side, or her human side. In other words, she did not know how to sell her ideals as a woman, as a dreamer, or her ambitions as a beauty queen and possible future Miss Peru.
Let's analyze, now, the 06 contestants of the fourth and last video presented by the organization:
18. Maricielo Limaco, representative of Lima Centro: She wanted to stand out with a red, long-sleeved dress, but (I must be honest, you know me!) she failed to impress; It was a very simple dress, despite the color. She is a young woman who has the ability to speak, is coherent, and transmits sincerity; However, she does not spread any type of emotion when speaking, I perceive her with a somewhat basic vocabulary, and she does not denote changes in her facial expressions either. Maricielo does not speak English.
23. Gianella Rázuri, is a Challenger: Her interview began in English, and although she understood the question, she chose to answer in Spanish. She arrived dressed in a two-piece suit: a blouse and a skirt; I really liked the design, but I didn't like the fabric or the color, since she gave the impression that she was going to a disco. Regarding her oratory, she spoke very quickly, as if she was in a hurry, but her gestures and facial expression were in accordance with her words. The tone of her voice helps her a lot to connect with the audience and draws her attention, making us focus on her. She is confident and spontaneous.
Top 10 Best Oratory in Miss Universe Colombia 2023
The popular Colombian TV Show "Woman from My Land" interviewed the 24 beautiful candidates for Miss Colombia Universe 2023. They interviewed them in a group of 12, with several weeks apart due to the commitments and responsibilities of the contestants. Although all contestants are very fluent in talking, I must be very honest with you and introduce you to the best ones, because yes, some stand out more than others when expressing themselves in front of the camera.
My top 10 evaluate eloquence, naturalness, spontaneity, content, the ability to connect with the interviewer and the audience, posture, and facial and body expression. Yes, I know! I am very demanding (I had already been told), but we are talking about women who do not make an effort to express themselves because they flow in such a natural and admirable way. That is why they are on my top. Do you want to know who I'm talking about? Keep reading and find it out.

09. Miss Casanares: Expresses herself well, and articulates ideas correctly.
08. Miss Guainía: I was caught by her naturalness and articulate way of speaking.
06. Miss Boyacá: Transmits joy, she knows how to connect with cameras, the audience, and the interviewer. She looks so natural and relaxed in front of the cameras that it's a pleasure to listen to her.
05. Miss Bogotá: She projects a lot of confidence when speaking, knows how to coordinate her ideas, and is quite fluent when expressing herself.
04. Miss Cali: She easily connects with the audience that even seems to be a TV Hostess. Shows confidence when speaking.
03. Miss Buenaventura: She is eloquent, spontaneous, and looks very focused without looking coarse. She is one of those who master the vocabulary of our Spanish language correctly, from pronunciation to intonation. She looks very confident and natural, and maintained eye contact with the presenter all the time while continuing to have contact with the audience.
02. Miss Cauca: One of the best oratories, without a doubt. She knows how to connect and transmit ideas in such an orderly way that she loves it. I loved listening to her because she is so natural, spontaneous, and very confident. She has a way with words and would do very well if she decides to work as a TV presenter.
01. Miss Norte de Santander: She is my number one because her oratory is excellent, there is nothing to reproach her for. Her personality is felt and projected in every word she utters. She is a young woman with natural and spontaneous expressions.
Do you agree with my top? Who would you remove from my list and who would you add?
Camila Sanabria Miss Bolivia 2022 will no longer participate in Miss Supranational 2023 Contest
Unfortunate news for the fans of the stunning Bolivian, Camila Sanabria. The 28 years old, born in the department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, will not represent this beautiful South American country in the next Miss Supranational edition.
Camila herself was the one who released the statement about her resigning from the title of Miss Supranational Bolivia 2023 and her no participation in one of the five most important beauty pageants in the world. The young woman was supposed to travel to Poland in July, but it will not be like that.
"I am having a delicate turning point in my life, which requires time and dedication in my personal and professional projects. I do not feel fulfilled to represent you all in the best way," she communicated through her social media.
"I understand there is no evolution without change, nor a rebirth without difficulty. Despite the insistence of my agency and the support with so much affection that I have received from all of you, I must decline my participation, thanking you with all my heart," continues the beauty. In addition, she added the following: "I leave the participation of whoever can represent us in this great contest in the hands of my agency, in this way, we will give another Bolivian woman the opportunity to fulfill her dream of representing our country abroad."
This sentence in particular caught the attention of many and, I must confess that mine too: "I understand that there is no evolution without change, nor a rebirth without difficulty." What does it mean? What did she want to say? Perhaps she means that she accepts that some things need to be improved? Maybe she is trying to tell us that even though she has stepped on the stage of Miss Universe and Miss Grand International, she has not evolved enough to take this third chance? The truth is that I only assume things that I don't know; however, some fans did have an opinion regarding this sudden decision, and most of them understand and support her saying that Miss Supra is not for her, that they will keep their excellent performance in Miss Universe. Others also expressed what they had in mind, but I won't take those opinions into account because they exuded a lot of envy for a queen who has worked hard to represent her country with dignity and professionalism.
Camila owns an enigmatic, doll-like face and for many, she was the surprise of Miss Universe 2022 by conquering hearts with those eyes and those perfect features. Her photographs captured the attention of Latin America. Before being Miss Universe Bolivia, Camila traveled a long road, she did it with a lot of discipline and a lot of commitment. She was Miss Santa Cruz 2022, and Miss Grand Bolivia 2022 and obtained the title of Miss Universe Bolivia by designation, a month before she traveled to the event in New Orleans.
She is a woman of convictions and very committed to helping, through her position as a beauty queen, youth who admire and follow her. The Bolivian has long maintained a personal campaign against bullying, and from what I could see on her social media, her message is reaching more than 103,000 followers (from Instagram and Facebook).Camila showed that in addition to having beauty queen skills, modeling also runs through her veins. After the Miss Universe pageant departure day, she stayed in the United States for more than a month, fulfilling commitments related to this profession. She Modeled at New York Fashion Week, the most famous and important fashion show in the United States, and boy, she showed it to us off big time! The gorgeous Camila uploaded a video on her Facebook profile, showing us a digital sign with her image in the emblematic Madison Square Garden, in New York City.
Camila from my blog, I wish you the best and I think you made the best decision. More opportunities will come your way, and I'm sure they will come at the right time in your life.
