Julián Figueroa was born in Mexico and it would be turning 28 years old on May 2. The young man leaves behind a widow and a little boy, barely five years old. Julián was the fruit of love between the former beauty queen and the Mexican singer-songwriter Joan Sebastian, known as the "King of the People."

The young man had followed in the footsteps of his father and his famous mother by launching a prosperous musical and acting career in his native country.

Maribel announced the passage to immortality of her only son, through her social media on Monday, April 10 at 6:00 am: "Dear friends, I am very sorry to announce the departure of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who unfortunately was ahead of us on this spiritual plane. He died of an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation; I beg your understanding for the deep pain we are going through; I beg everyone's respect for our privacy and the painful moment we went through. His funeral will be held in private, next to the people who were closest to him and who loved him the most", reads part of the statement published on his Facebook profile, where she is followed by eleven million people.

I send my most sincere expressions of affection and condolences to Maribel, her husband Marco Chacón, who raised Julián as his son since he was two years old and who also put aside his pain, his mourning to manage all the funeral procedures of the young actor and singer. Maribel is very lucky to have such a strong, loving and handsome man by her side.

I must say that I don't know any of them in person, but I have followed Maribel's career for decades and her pain was felt not only by me, but also by all her fans around the world. May Julian Figueroa rest in the peace.

The gorgeous woman won the title of Miss Costa Rica in 1978, earning the right to represent her country at Miss Universe 1978 competition held in Acapulco, Mexico; she won the title of Miss Photogenic.

Maribel also held the title of Miss World Costa Rica 1978 and she represented her homeland with much more success. She was part of the privileged top 15 of the edition of the longest running pageant in the world.

Maribel stole the hearts of mexicans, who supported and cheered her on during the concentration and final event of Miss Universe. Mexico's love for Maribel was so great that Mr. Sergio Bustamante, a television producer, called her to start a career in that television industry; Maribel accepted and since then she lives and works in that beautiful country.
